Are you looking for the full movie-going experience without having to wait in the long lines that often accompany that experience? Then look no further because Royal Cinemas is the answer. Located in historic downtown Front Royal and nestled in the Shenandoah Valley, we have a friendly staff, delicious, freshly popped popcorn, ice cold beverages, and a huge candy assortment to choose from. We maintain a family atmosphere and obtain first run movies to be enjoyed by all ages.
Royal Cinemas has successfully been owned and operated by the same manager/owner since 1994. During this time we have expanded the theater from two screens to three, added hearing assistance devices to all auditoriums.
In October 2015 all auditorium seating was replaced. In addition all restrooms have recently been remodeled.
In 2011 when the world of theater was converting to digital, manager/owner Rick Novak decided to take the plunge into the digital world by converting all three screens at Royal Cinemas to digital projection and sound. We now offer digital high definition, first run movies, with amazing 7.1 Dolby Surround sound with RealD 3D.

• For Rated R movies:
• Children under the age of 17: A parent or guardian must be present at time of ticket purchase.
• 17 or older: Must show proof of age or have parent of guardian present at time of ticket purchase.
• No outside food or drink allowed.
